The injury to this lady's left hand was inflicted by a 5 lb., male, stray cat she brought into her apartment in Winnipeg in April 2011. The cat was given to her by a friend, and the incident happened two days later. Immediately after the cat entered her home, the victim states that the cat was following her from room to room, growling, hissing, and had raised hair. The victim sustained serious bacterial infection and has undergone multiple surgeries.
